Rise to Greatness!
We develop volleyball players - and leaders - at every stage of their journey.
What Is Performance Lab at Driven Dragons?
At Driven Dragons Volleyball Academy, we believe high-performing teams are built by developing more than volleyball skills.
Athletes develop their technical and tactical game through team practices, private lessons, clinics, and tournament competition. But becoming a champion—and a leader—requires more.
That is where Performance Lab comes in.
Performance Lab is the DNA behind how Driven Dragons develops the whole athlete and builds high-performing teams. It brings together five core pillars designed to strengthen the mental, physical, competitive, and leadership skills athletes need to perform at their best—both on and off the court.
Our goal is not simply to create better volleyball players.
Our goal is to develop confident, resilient, prepared athletes who know how to perform under pressure, take care of their bodies, strengthen their teams, pursue their goals, and lead.
The 5 Pillars of Performance Lab

1. Performance Mindset
Great athletes are not defined by whether they make mistakes. They are defined by how they respond to them.
Our Performance Mindset curriculum gives Driven Dragons athletes a shared language and practical tools for navigating pressure, adversity, mistakes, confidence, focus, decision-making, and personal growth.
Athletes learn how to reset, stay present, embrace challenges, communicate effectively, and continue competing when the moment becomes difficult.
These concepts are intentionally reinforced throughout the season so mindset development becomes part of how our athletes train, compete, and lead.
We train the mind just as intentionally as we train the athlete.

2. Hydration & Nutrition
Athletes cannot consistently perform at their best without properly fueling their bodies.
Our Hydration & Nutrition education helps athletes understand how everyday choices can influence energy, concentration, recovery, and athletic performance.
Athletes are introduced to practical concepts including hydration, pre-competition fueling, recovery nutrition, tournament-day snacks, and healthy performance habits.
The objective is not perfection. It is helping young athletes begin taking ownership of how they prepare and care for their bodies.
Fuel the athlete. Fuel the performance.

3. Strength & Conditioning
Volleyball performance requires more than skill with a ball.
Athletes need strength, movement quality, explosiveness, stability, coordination, and physical resilience.
Through our Strength & Conditioning pillar, athletes are exposed to age-appropriate athletic development designed to complement their volleyball training and help them become stronger and more capable competitors.
The focus extends beyond simply becoming stronger. We want athletes to understand that physical preparation is part of becoming a complete athlete.
Train the body to support the player you are becoming.

4. Hudl & College Recruiting
For athletes interested in playing beyond high school, development also means learning how to showcase their abilities and navigate the recruiting process.
Our 15U and older teams use Hudl to capture game film throughout the season, giving athletes valuable footage they can review, learn from, and use to build recruiting and highlight videos.
Hudl allows our athletes to create a growing library of their competitive play that can be shared with prospective college coaches.
Driven Dragons also provides recruiting education and support that may include guidance with athlete profiles, highlight videos, introductory communication with coaches, recruiting strategy, and understanding the college search process.
Develop your game. Capture your journey. Create your next opportunity.

5. Team Building
Talent alone does not create a high-performing team.
Trust does.
Communication does.
Accountability does.
Leadership does.
Our Team Building pillar intentionally develops the relationships and behaviors that turn individual athletes into a connected team.
Throughout the season, athletes are encouraged to learn how to communicate, support teammates, handle conflict, celebrate one another, hold themselves accountable, and contribute to something larger than themselves.
We want every Driven Dragons athlete to understand that leadership is not reserved for the loudest athlete or the team captain.
Every athlete has the ability to positively influence the team around them.
Developing the Whole Athlete
Performance Lab is not separate from the Driven Dragons experience.
It is part of our DNA.
Volleyball training develops the player's game.
Performance Lab develops the athlete behind the game.
Together, they help us pursue something bigger than wins and losses: athletes who are prepared to compete, respond to adversity, take care of themselves, strengthen the people around them, pursue future opportunities, and lead with confidence.
That is how we work toward building high-performing athletes, high-performing teams, and leaders on and off the court.
