ATHLETE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
“Prove It! — Lead the Pack with Pride, Drive & Heart”

Developing the next generation of leaders who represent the very best of Driven Dragons — on the court, in the
community, and in life.

Program Overview
The Driven Dragons Athlete Ambassador Program identifies and empowers our most dedicated athletes to
serve as visible leaders, role models, and culture carriers for the entire academy. Ambassadors help grow our
club through authentic promotion, mentorship of younger athletes, event support, and positive content creation
while developing real leadership skills that look outstanding on college applications and resumes.
This is not a popularity contest or reserved only for the most talented players. We deliberately seek athletes
who consistently embody our core values, show reliability, and demonstrate a genuine desire to give back and
lift others up.

Core Values We Champion
Ambassadors are the living examples of what it means to be Driven:
• Enthusiasm — Bring positive energy, passion, and joy to every practice, tournament, and interaction.
• Drive — Work relentlessly, embrace challenges, and model a growth mindset in everything you do.
• Sportsmanship — Compete with integrity, respect everyone involved, and handle wins and losses with
class.
• Camaraderie — Build others up, create belonging, and strengthen the entire Driven Dragons family.

Eligibility
• Current Driven Dragons athlete on a 13U or older team (or equivalent competitive level)
• Completed at least one full season with the academy
• In good standing (attendance, attitude, financials, no conduct issues)
• Strong recommendation from current coach
• Demonstrated maturity and interest in leadership / giving back

Selection Process & Criteria
Applications open seasonally (typically late summer for winter/spring season). The process is designed to be fair,
transparent, and focused on character:
1. Application (Essay on why you want to serve + how you live our values: send to Info@DrivenDragonsVBA.com)
2. Brief conversation / interview with academy leadership
3. Selection based primarily on character, leadership potential, reliability, value alignment, and positive
influence — not solely on athletic skill level. We intentionally build a diverse group representing multiple teams
and age groups. Typical cohort: 8–15 ambassadors per season.

Roles & Responsibilities
Ambassadors contribute in ways that match their strengths and availability. Examples include:
Content & Promotion: Create authentic social media stories/reels (with guidelines), share positive
tournament/practice moments, help amplify club messaging.
Recruitment Support: Assist at open gyms, tryouts, and sand series — welcome new families, answer
player-perspective questions, help run skills stations for younger athletes.
Mentorship & Onboarding: Serve as a friendly face and buddy for new or younger athletes, help them
learn club culture and feel included.
Event & Spirit Support: Help with setup, positive culture-building, and representing the club
professionally at tournaments and club events.

Feedback & Ideas: Participate in occasional short ambassador meetings to share honest insights on
how to improve the athlete experience.
Benefits & Recognition
Official Driven Dragons Ambassador apparel package (hoodie, t-shirt, pin, or bag)
Seasonal tuition credit or scholarship contribution toward the next season
Featured athlete spotlight on website, social media, newsletters, and highlight content
Leadership certificate + special recognition at the end-of-season banquet
Early access and/or discounts on camps, clinics, and performance training
High-value leadership experience for college applications and resumes
Direct networking with academy leadership and other high-character athletes
Pathway to expanded opportunities (junior coaching assistant, content intern, etc.) for top contributors

Time Commitment & Expectations
• Average 2–4 hours per month (highly flexible around school and volleyball schedules)
• Short monthly ambassador huddle (virtual or in-person options always available)
• Reliable completion of agreed-upon tasks and proactive communication if conflicts arise
• Maintain high personal standards on and off the court (academics, behavior, social media
representation)
• Sign a simple one-season agreement covering conduct, confidentiality, and positive representation (Accepting a Loyalty offer or Team offer with this mentioned in it counts as signing this role).
(aligned with SafeSport and club policies)

Accountability & Term
Ambassadors serve a one-season term with a mid-season check-in. Those who excel may be invited to renew
or take on expanded responsibilities. If expectations are not met, we have a supportive conversation and the
athlete may step back gracefully. The goal is always growth and positive contribution — never punishment.

How to Apply
Interested athletes should:
• Speak with their current coach or club leadership to express interest and request a recommendation
• Email Info@DrivenDragonsVBA.com with your essay on why you want to be a Driven Dragons Ambassador and how you live our values.

We’re building something special at Driven Dragons.
Our athletes are the heart of it. The Athlete Ambassador Program is one more way we develop not just great
volleyball players — but great young leaders who will carry our culture forward for years to come.
